How to Add Details of Your Business to Create North
Create North is the totally free online directory for North West businesses.
Unlike most directories, you don't even need a website to be added, we're more than happy to add your details. Also, unlike many directories, we don't have any lengthy forms to fill in. The reason for this is we don't want to constrain you in the way you describe your business nor in the amount of info or style of presentation.
So how do you add your business...
Simply send us an email to add@createnorth.co.uk containing the following information (ideally as a Word document or Text file). Once we receive your info, we will review it and normally create your listing within 72 hours. Once we have created your listing, we will email you to let you know it is live, and to enable you to check to see that everything is OK.
We have prepared the the basic Add Business Word Document to aid you in formulating your listing info. When you click on this link it will ask you to either Open or Save the file. We would suggest you save it to your PC so that you can keep a copy of your listing info for easy amendments in the future.
- The category you would like your business added to (please feel free to suggest a new category if you feel none of the existing ones fits the bill)
- Name of your business
- Contact name (for smaller businesses with a personal touch)
- Business Address
- As much general info as you like (upto the equivalent of a 2-3 pages of a Word document)
- Professional qualifications (if applicable)
- Professional bodies (e.g. NICEIC for electricians)
- Skills and Experience
- Testimonials
- Telephone number
- Freephone number
- Mobile number
- Fax number
- Email address
- Link to your own website
- Upto 3 images to illustrate your products or services
- Opening times (for shops and restaurants)
- Sample menus (for restaurants and cafes)
Please disregard any of the above fields which are not applicable to your business or add any other items of information which are.
If you could include this information in either a Word document that would be ideal.
If you would like to add your logo or any photos/images to your entry, please attach them as either JPG or GIF files.
The only things we ask you do not include on your page are...
- Any inaccurate or misleading claims about your business (keep to the facts about your business, its services and products).
- Any information critical of other companies or businesses (keep the info just about your own business).
- Any over the top boasts. i.e. not every business in a category can be the best!
- Any information which will change on a regular basis, i.e. prices. Although we understand that business change premises, contact details and services over time, as there can be quite a bit of info for each business it is not practicable for us to update entries on a frequent basis. Therefore, with the exception of contact details which when changing, obviously need updating ASAP, try to keep the frequency of overall updates to a minimum (i.e. once per year).
